The Long And Short Of It At A Luxury Cannes Hotel

Now you can really swim in style when staying at the legendary Carlton hotel in Cannes.

We’re talking shorts.

The Carlton Cannes, a Regent hotel – that mecca for celebrities and the Cannes Film Festival –is now pictured on an exclusive pair of Orlebar Brown signature swim shorts. They are now available to buy from the hotel’s Orlebar Brown boutique, adjacent to its new, jeweled azure swimming pool.

Orlebar Brown is a British clothing brand specializing in tailored men's swim shorts. The company was created in 2007 by photographer Adam Brown after he identified a gap in the market for stylish men's swimwear.

Like the hotel itself, the design seamlessly stitches cinematic style with poolside glamour. The scene shows a quintessentially Cote d’Azure morning of the 1960s, captured by decorated American photographer, Slim Aarons. A legend within fashion and society titles for his images of socialites, jetsetters, and celebrities, Aarons says himself, he made a career "photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places,”

The luxury hotel partnered with Orlebar Brown in celebration of its two-year grand-scale renovation. Its rebirth skilfully preserved historic features including the famed façade pictured on the shorts and unveiled the largest hotel infinity pool in Cannes. The pool is nestled within an enclosed garden landscaped with 22,000 plants and flowers, peristyle alcoves, sleek sunbathing decks, handcrafted cabanas.

These are not your regular swim shorts— they are shorts you can swim in, made from fabrics repurposing 100% recycled plastic waste and based on the pattern of a traditional man’s tailored trouser. The Orlebar Brown classic swim short is crafted from quick-drying nylon fabric with signature side-fasteners to adjust. Each pair is crafted from 61 elements and designed to give you effortless style from The C Club to the Carlton Beach Club when staying at the IHG Hotels & Resorts property.

The shorts retail for $395 and are available in sizes 28-40.
